Children with Medical Handicaps

   

The Children with Medical Handicaps program (CMH), formerly BCMH, is a program of the Ohio Department of Health which may provide diagnostic and treatment services to qualifying children with chronic eligible medical diagnosis, who are under the age of 21, are permanent Ohio residents and are under the care of a  CMH-approved physician. The goal of the Public Health Nurse is to help identify and assist families to obtain CMH services. Services provided include coordination of CMH eligible care and home visits by the Public Health Nurse.

Possible Eligible Conditions Are:

  • Diabetes
  • Cleft lip/Cleft palate
  • Congenital Heart Disease
  • Asthma
